Sourdough Bread in Bread Machine
Recipe combining freshly milled wheat, sourdough, and a bread machine. Easy and delicious!

1 Bread machine
1 Measuring cups set
1 Measuring spoons set
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sourdough starter, active and bubbly
- 4 cups flour Cool flour first if freshly milled or it may overrise.
- 3 tsp yeast
Place first 6 ingredients in bread machine pan.
Add flour on top of other ingredients.
Add yeast by creating a slight well on top of flour so it doesn't touch wet ingredients.
Set bread machine to "wheat bread" or with the following custom settings:Rest: 25 min.Knead: 20 min.Rise 1: 45 min.Rise 2: 35 min.Bake: 1 hourKeep warm: off Enjoy!
